DIY Support

Guided DIY Partner visa application

You are happy to take care of your Australian Partner visa application yourself but you would still like to get professional advice and guidance while you prepare your evidence? We are happy to support you and guide you through the preparation process. You will receive detailed information on what is important when starting the process, what to consider when structuring your evidence and which forms you need for the visa application. This package also includes personal consultations with your assigned registered migration agent. That way, you can discuss your questions that arise during the extensive preparation process with an expert and receive individual feedback on your available documents and evidence.

What is part of the DIY Support?

Our DIY Support is about supporting you during the crucial initial phase of your application. That way you can save costs but at the same time you con’t have to pass on professional and individual support when you need it most. You will have an assigned registered migration agent as point of contact who will guide you through the process step by step so that you are prepared and know what to expect when you submit your application to the Australian authorities yourself.

How does it work:

Kick-off

In a short 15-minute introductory conversation, your Registered Migration Agent will give you an overview of the different stages of the DIY support, answer your questions about the practical procedure and discuss with you the next steps.

Evidence and statements

Right at the beginning you will receive detailed written PDF instructions on the following aspects:

  • Proof of relationship and receipts:
    • What is suitable evidence and what kinds of documents can you use?
    • What are the four pillars of a relationship?
    • How can you present and structure your evidence?
  • Personal statement
    • What are the formal and certification requirements?
    • What should be addressed in the personal statement?
    • Do’s and don’ts when writing a statement
  • Witness Statements:
    • Who can be a witness and how many witnesses are required?
    • Which are the formal and certification requirements?
    • What must be provided and which questions must be answered by each witnesses?
    • Simple and practical guidance for your witnesses

That way you can start preparing what you need for your visa application more effectively. Once you have collected your evidence and drafted your statements, send them to us and make an appointment for a personal consultation.

Consultation

After compiling your evidence and statement drafts, make an appointment for a 60-minute consultation with your assigned migration agent to discuss your documents. You will receive professional feedback about the evidence you have collected and the drafts of your statements. Your agent will give you individual recommendation about strengths and potential weaknesses and give you tips on how you structure them for a case officer. And of course, you can ask your questions that arose during the preparation.

Application and forms

After you have a clear understanding about what evidence you will use and how you will structure your application, it is time to take care of the actual application. In the next step, you will therefore receive detailed information on the following topics:

  • How do I create the application for a visa and sponsorship in the IMMI account myself?
  • Which PDF forms also have to be attached to the application?
  • How do you have to enclose the proof of relationships and statements?
  • How is the application submitted and what steps are required while the application is being examined?

Once you have looked through the forms and created a draft of your application, make an appointment for the final personal consultation.

Final consultation

In the final 60-minute consultation you go through the final steps with your assigned migration agent. You can discuss your questions about the information required in the application forms and how to upload evidence. In addition, your agent will walk you through the process after application lodgement (e.g. the timing of health checks and police checks), the expected processing times and what to expect. This will give you final feedback and final tips so that you can start the process well prepared.

What is NOT part of the DIY Support?

This offer is specifically aimed at customers who would like to submit their application to the Department of Home Affairs themselves without representation by a migration agent. The DIY Support is therefore limited to the preparation phase of the application and merely the limited to assistance and advice while you prepare your Partner visa application.

What is NOT included in the DIY Support:

Therefore, the DIY Support is in no way equivalent to a full representation by a professional and experienced migration agent. So if you want an experienced migration agent to prepare your visa application in full, prepare the documents provided in a comprehensible and structured way, write a detailed submission to point out to a case officer how you meet the legislative requirements, check the entire application as well as all attachments and evidence for consistency, prepare all necessary forms for you, take care of responding to queries from the Australian authorities and act and communicate on your behalf, then this package is not the right one. In that case, we recommend booking our full service and we are happy to provide a quote.
