Apply for a Resident Return visa (subclass 155) online with Visapath Australia
If you have been an Australian permanent resident for five years, you need a Resident Return visa to be able to get back into the country after travelling abroad. You are eligible for a 5-year Resident Return visa (subclass 155) if you are a permanent resident who has lived in Australia for two out of the last five years. These two years do not have to be consecutive – you can accumulate the time over the five year period preceding the lodgment of your application. (Please note: you can only count the time you have spent in Australia as a permanent resident holder; you cannot count any time you have held a temporary visa or bridging visa towards the two years.)
If you do meet the eligibility criteria and you don’t have any criminal convictions, you can apply for your Resident Return visa online through Visapath Australia.
What you will receive:
- Complete handling of the visa application by Visapath Australia
- Handling of application-related queries from the Australian authorities
- Visa application charge of A$ 475, – (payable to the Department of Home Affairs) is included in the price

Visa check included
We will check your current visa status before we lodge your visa application. Not every Permanent Resident needs to re-apply for a Resident Return visa, sometimes they hold a more an older and more beneficial version of this visa, like an ATR or Return Endorsement. In other cases, applicants are not aware that their current visa is still valid for some years. If our visa check shows that there are better options for you, or you are not eligible for a Resident Return visa we will contact you and advise you on your options.
If we don’t lodge a visa application due to one of those reasons, we will charge only a reduced service fee of $165 and refund any amount already paid above this amount.
Please note: We are not the Australian Department of Home Affairs and not affiliated with it in any way. As Migration Agency we are an independent service provider acting on your behalf.
